When sleep problems take over

People often reach out after trying everything they can think of:
melatonin, magnesium, white noise, breathing apps, strict routines, or forcing themselves to "relax."

Still, sleep is a challenge.

Common experiences often include:

  • Lying awake for hours despite feeling exhausted

  • Waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep

  • Anxiety or racing thoughts as soon as your head hits the pillow

  • Sleep disrupted by stress, OCD, or habitual mental loops

  • Parents worn down by years of bedtime struggles with a child or teen

When sleep is a struggle, everything else tends to be impacted: mood, focus, emotional regulation, relationships, motivation, and confidence.

How sleep therapy actually helps

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard, research-backed treatment for chronic sleep problems.

This is not medication management, and it’s not vague advice to "reduce stress."
It’s a structured, practical approach that helps reset your sleep system.

Our work may include:

  • Re-training your brain and body to associate your bed with sleep again

  • Calming nighttime mental loops and anticipatory anxiety

  • Addressing habits that unknowingly keep insomnia alive

  • Creating a realistic sleep schedule that fits your life

  • Tracking progress so we know what’s working

For clients with other behavioral health concerns (e.g., anxiety, OCD, tic disorders, or mood concerns) sleep is often a central piece of the puzzle, and improving it can support improvements in overall quality of life.

What working together feels like

My style is calm, direct, and collaborative. I respect your time and your intelligence. We focus on what actually helps and develop a clear plan and measurable progress. You don’t need to force yourself to "try harder" at sleep. We will work with the natural rhythms of the body and how the nervous system actually functions.

Who I work with

I provide sleep therapy for:

  • Adults dealing with insomnia, stress-related sleep problems, or anxiety

  • Teens whose sleep has unraveled due to school pressure, anxiety, or compulsive thinking

  • Parents navigating ongoing bedtime struggles with children

What to expect in the first session

In our first meeting, we’ll:

  • Get a clear picture of your sleep patterns and history

  • Identify what’s maintaining the problem

  • Talk through a realistic plan and implementation

Most people leave the first session feeling relieved, clearer, and more hopeful than when they arrived.

About me

I’m Brandon Morgan, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Ohio with a background in pediatric and adult behavioral health. I trained at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital, and practiced clinically for seven years at Nationwide Children’s, providing expert behavioral support to both the Sleep Clinic and Neurology Tic Clinic for several years as part of the Pediatric Psychology department. I love supporting others to improve quality of life.

Sleep therapy is a core part of my practice as sleep profoundly affects emotional and physical health and because evidence-based effective treatment actually exists.
